faq's

Age: You need to be 18 years or older.

Restrictions: Ideally you are healthy and ready to exercise. On the sign up form you should advise me of any medical conditions that could affect exercise. If you are in any way unsure about taking up this kind of exercise you should check with your doctor (GP) first. In some cases if I do not think I can be of best help to you in exercise I may refer you to another health and fitness professional.

Billing/Renewal: The membership is set to direct debit automatically from your chosen bank account on a monthly basis.

Length of Membership: Unless otherwise specified when signing up there are no fixed number of months you are signed up to.

Cancelling: If you need to cancel your membership this is no problem, simply email me to advise and I can cancel the future direct debits.

Gym Facilities: You'll need a gym membership unless you have a home gym set up. Ideally your gym needs to have a free weights section with both dumbbells, barbells and a squat rack as well as benches. If you are interested in training at home and need to buy equipment please let me know so that I can advise you on the right equipment to purchase. Learning the Exercises: In the online software I use, each programmed exercise has a short tuitional video clip attached to it to get you started. After that first session I will be form checking all of your exercise videos from then on as part of the membership service. In addition I also offer in person coaching sessions which are charged seperately.

Equipment/Clothing: The list of accessories we use in weight training is actually very short and relatively inexpensive. You can use normal gym exercise wear such as shorts, jogging bottoms, t-shirt. When it comes to shoes I recommend buying weight training shoes as they do make a difference, we also use chalk and later on during the progression accessories such as a weight training belt, and wrist wraps are added. At every step of the way I'll advise you when to add these items to your gym bag. For you first sessions just use normal gym wear and a pair of shoes with a solid base (avoid shoes with spongey deformable soles) to them such as Converse Allstars or weight lifting shoes if you already own a pair.
